Terms of Service

1. The service

Kidrou helps parents, guardians, and caregivers record and share information about a child’s routines, including sleep, feeding, hygiene, medication, and activities. Features may change as we improve the service.

Kidrou is not a medical device or healthcare service. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency monitoring, or a substitute for professional care.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms in your location. Kidrou is intended for adults caring for children, not for children to use independently.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for activity under your account, and for protecting access to your device, email, sign-in provider, and verification codes. Tell us promptly at support@kidrou.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

Kidrou may offer guest or anonymous access. You may lose access to an anonymous account if you lose the device or session before linking a supported sign-in method.

3. Family sharing and invitations

Kidrou lets caregivers share child profiles and routine history within a family. Anyone who joins through a valid invite code may be able to view and change the shared family’s information.

Only invite people you trust. You are responsible for having appropriate authority to enter information about a child and to share it with each invited caregiver. Do not share invitation codes publicly.

4. Your content

You retain your rights in the child profiles, routine entries, notes, assistant input, and other content you submit. You give Kidrou a limited permission to host, process, transmit, back up, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content and make it available to members of your shared family. You are responsible for keeping your own records when information is important to you.

5. Assistant and generated drafts

Kidrou may use third-party artificial-intelligence services to turn text or optional voice input into proposed routine entries. These results can be incomplete, inaccurate, or misinterpreted.

You must review every proposed entry before saving it. Do not rely on the assistant for medication decisions, medical guidance, emergencies, or any situation where an inaccurate result could cause harm.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Kidrou unlawfully or violate another person’s privacy or rights.
• Access a family, child profile, or account without authorization.
• Share content you do not have permission to use or disclose.
• Interfere with the service, bypass access controls or rate limits, or test its security without written permission.
• Upload malicious code or use automated methods to scrape, overload, or abuse the service.
• Reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

7. Third-party services

Kidrou relies on services such as Supabase, Google, PostHog when enabled, and the Apple App Store or Google Play. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

8. Availability, changes, and termination

We work to keep Kidrou available, but the service may sometimes be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, comply with law, or address a serious or repeated breach of these Terms.

You may stop using Kidrou at any time. You can permanently delete your account from Settings. Shared-family information may remain available to other caregivers as explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kidrou is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or suitable for every purpose, or that stored information will never be lost.

Routine records, timers, reminders, summaries, and assistant results may be delayed or inaccurate. Always use your own judgment and seek qualified professional help for medical or safety concerns. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kidrou will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or use arising from the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Kidrou changes or legal requirements evolve. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when a change is material and applicable law requires it. Continuing to use Kidrou after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.

12. General terms

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any mandatory consumer protections and rights available in your country or region remain unaffected.
